Ok... so it's not so cold now 01/22/2008, 01:14
I'll admit that it was colder when I wrote this comic.  It's actually warmed up since, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.  It's perfect snowman/snowball weather actually.

Ok... so I attempted to watch Cloverfield.  I'm going to stress "attempted".  I thought I could do it, I really did.  But what I can only attribute to an undiagnosed case of chronic vertigo (which happens in cases where jerky camera movement affect my ability to play some very awesome games and watch some very cool movies).  I made it about half way through before I had to leave.  I paid for the 45-60 minutes of watching the movie with a 2 1/2 hour long lay on my couch after leaving the rest of my friends at the theatre.  They filled me in later as I sat woozily trying to take it all in.  In my defense I did warn everyone that I probably shouldn't go to the movie and that I would possibly fall asleep no matter how heart-pounding the action was.  I had offers for hats to cover my eyes, sunglasses, ski masks, and other aids to get me through the movie, but I refused.  What can I say, I went for the popcorn and the previews.  The whole thing was worth while when I got to hear the Gummy Bear Song during the previews. :)

Now the fun begins 01/22/2008, 01:30
So what I have to say about Cloverfield is I think the idea of making a movie from the point of view of the cameraman is interesting ... just a-bit hard to watch.  I do have to say was that I was excited to see the upcoming star trek movie, I know that there are a bunch of upset Trek fans out there about this being some kind of "prequel" and I am not of fan of prequels myself but I do think that this will be an interesting movie.
