The GDamn Batman

Ok, I'm gonna sneak a little news in before we update our next comic because I feel like "The GDamn Batman" needs at least a little explanation.

If you haven't seen the Wonderful Pistachio commercials you really should.  I've paid close attention to their TV ad marketing campaign.  They've taken a veritable who's who slice of pop culture and set each subject(s) in a sleek, sterile, white background that's reminiscent of Apple.  I have a hard time believing some of the things/people they get to incorporate in their commercials.  People like Levi Johnston, Snooki, Lewis Black, Rod Blagojevich, and more notably Keyboard Cat.  Ok, Keyboard Cat isn't "people" but he sure looks like he is with his little shirt (colored green to match their branded motif).  They've also managed to snag the iconic duo Charlie Brown and Lucy from Charles Schulz's Peanuts.  Both are clad in Wonderful Pistachio's ultra-hip green, and the football which has brought Charlie Brown many hours of grief is replaced by a pistachio.

Here we reach the above comic "The GDamn Batman" and you may ponder why put the Caped Crusader in a pistachio commercial parody?  Well, primarily he's Batman and that's a stupid question… and secondarily, thanks to Frank Miller, it makes this comic funny.

New Digs

So we have an awesome new site design thanks to Chris.  We've had a number of different designs over the years but this one is definitely my favorite.  There are more comics on the way too.  The current update schedule is every Friday.

In other news I recently saw the Green Hornet and I less than 3 it.  It was awesome.  I saw it in stunning 2D (because I don't need another pair of glasses anyway).

That's all for me.  Good night and have a pleasant tomorrow.

The new site design is up and running!  You can peruse the archive which now includes some of our original comics.  There is also the return of the Muffin Chat.  The Muffin now also has his own twitter so, be sure to send him your questions.
